English & German

In a fast-paced world of back-to-back meetings and constant pings, we all need moments to slow down, breathe, and find our footing again.

My approach is warm, grounded, and without judgment—a space where you can speak freely and be met with care.

Alongside conversation, I gently bring in simple, in-the-moment practices such as easy grounding, mindful breathing, or subtle body awareness to help your nervous system settle while we talk. No force, no complexity—just small, useful tools you can also use between sessions.

I offer compassionate, professional support designed to help you regulate stress, clarify what matters, and reconnect with a steadier sense of self.

A safe place to land.

We keep it simple and steady. We lean on a small set of Mindful Essentials—short, repeatable practices and clear guidance—to build steadier attention, emotional clarity, and a felt sense of balance you can carry between meetings and at home.

I bridge psychology and contemplative practice with a research-based toolkit:

  • COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)

We choose what fits you—not what’s fashionable.

In session, we arrive and name what matters today. If it helps your nervous system settle, we add a minute of gentle breath or body awareness—always optional and with consent—then make sense of what’s happening: patterns, needs, options. You leave with one small next step that feels doable.

We go at your pace, exploring options together so you can choose what supports you best. Between sessions, you’ll have one or two tiny Everyday Essentials placed where you’ll actually use them (before a call, between meetings, at bedtime), so change becomes something you can feel, not just understand.

My aim is simple: insight you can feel, habits you can keep, and support that meets you where you are—starting small, then going deeper where it truly matters.

No Commute

More time and energy for what matters.

In the middle of full days, online sessions create breathing room — support that meets you where you are. We work confidentially in your own space, steady the nervous system in real time, and choose one small practice you can use between calls or after hours. Learning tools in the exact context you live in makes them stick.

What to expect — How we begin

Starting counseling can feel like a big step. I keep the process gentle and clear, with time to arrive and space to choose what feels right.

Step 1: Free introductory call (20 minutes)

We meet without pressure or obligation. You can share a little about what’s going on, ask questions, and feel into the connection. We’ll also touch on how we might work—talk, and (if helpful) simple breath/body practices.

Step 2: Clarify Your Focus & Pace

If we continue, we name what brings you here and what you hope to shift. From there, we’ll create a supportive framework:
What pace feels right for you? What kind of support do you need? You remain in the lead — I simply guide the way.

Step 3: Ongoing support

Each session meets you where you are. We combine clear conversation with gentle regulation (breath, body awareness) so insight and nervous-system steadiness grow together. We’ll track what’s shifting and adapt as we go. Some clients come for a few sessions; others stay longer. It’s not about quantity—it’s about fit, timing, and depth.

Between sessions, you’ll have 1–2 tiny practices (your “Everyday Essentials”) to keep progress warm and alive—always realistic, never overwhelming.

Topics I support you with

Here are some of the areas I can support you with — gently, professionally, and at your pace.

Self-Worth, Perfectionism & Boundaries

We’ll soften the inner critic and practice kind structure: clearer thoughts, gentle discipline, and embodied boundaries you can actually keep—without harshness or guilt.

Burnout & Work Stress

Exhausted, flat, on autopilot? We’ll reduce overload at the source and in the body: micro-breaks, regulating breath rhythms, and clear, doable boundaries. Less depletion, more capacity—at a pace that respects your life.

Stress, Anxiety & Overwhelm

When everything feels “too much,” we slow it down. We’ll map your patterns, steady the nervous system with simple breath & body cues, and build small, realistic steps you can use between meetings and at home.

Not sure if your topic fits here? Just reach out — we’ll find out together if this is the right space for you.

Sleep & the Nervous System

Calm a racing mind with evening wind-downs: brief body scans, extended-exhale breathing, and gentle routines that teach the body it’s safe to rest.

Life Transitions & Change

Relocation, career shifts, new roles—when the ground moves, we work with pace, breath, and simple anchors. Together we make space for what’s here and move through change with steadiness.

Relationships & Breakups

Whether you’re leaving, grieving, or staying and changing, we’ll untangle patterns and ground the body so there’s more clarity and less reactivity—your next step becomes yours.

Stacked stones in balance, symbolizing values of dignity and presence in counseling.

My values

Presence & Dignity.
I meet you with steady attention and respect. We slow the pace so the signal isn’t lost in the noise. I reflect what I hear and check I’ve got it right—your lived experience leads.

Safety, Consent & Pace.
We agree what’s in bounds. You can say no, not now, or stop at any time. If we include breath or body awareness, we decide together and use clear signals so you stay in charge.

Collaboration & Agency.
We set a brief agenda at the start (what would help most today?) and close with a short review (what landed, what’s next). I offer options; you choose. If something isn’t helping, we change it—no pressure, no proving.

Integrity & Confidentiality.
Clear boundaries, transparent policies, and strict privacy. I work within scope, name limits honestly, and refer when that serves you better.

Inclusion & Cultural Humility.
We consider how identity, culture, and context shape your story. I don’t assume—I ask. We’ll use words that feel natural to you, and practices that fit your day.

Practicality & Real-Life Fit.
We keep steps small and repeatable—designed for busy weeks. Progress is felt in real life: steadier mornings, clearer choices, fewer stress spikes, kinder self-talk.

Real Words. Real Presence.

Reflections from Those I’ve Worked With

"After narcissistic abuse, my body was on constant alert. With Isabel’s steady support and simple breath/body tools, my nervous system finally calmed. I sleep, I think clearly, and I feel safe in myself again."

Female (26), Italy

“I’m deeply grateful for Isabel’s support during one of the most difficult times in my life. After the end of an eight-year relationship, she not only held space for me but helped me rebuild. With her empathy and deep understanding, I regained my confidence, recognized my strengths, and allowed myself to grieve without judgment. Thank you for everything.”

Female (29), Germany

"I’m 41 and came to Isabel after a major change that pulled the ground from under me. My life had been fast, competitive, and measured in results; when that stopped, I didn’t know who I was without the pace. Sleep went, focus went, and everything felt loud.

I was skeptical at first. Isabel wasn’t. She was calm, clear, and didn’t try to “fix” me. We talked in a way that made sense, and she gave me small, realistic things to do between sessions, like two or three breaths before tough calls, a three-minute reset in the middle of the day, a simple evening routine so my brain could downshift. Nothing complicated, just things that worked.

Over a few months, I noticed the difference: shoulders down, sleep coming back, less snap in my reactions. I could think straight again and make decisions without the old panic. The biggest shift was feeling like myself, even without the old metrics.

If you’re used to pushing through and don’t know how to stop, Isabel is the kind of steady you want in your corner: warm, professional, and practical. Highly recommend."

Male (41), Poland

Important Note

Counseling with me is supportive and skills-based. It can be deeply helpful, but it does not replace psychotherapy or medical care, and it isn’t suited for acute emergencies or crisis situations.

If you feel unsafe or are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, please seek immediate help:

  • Call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department.

  • You can also find free, confidential, international crisis helplines here: www.befrienders.org.

Not sure whether this is the right level of support? Reach out—I’ll help you consider options and, if needed, point you toward licensed psychotherapy or other appropriate care. Your safety and dignity come first.

Frequently asked questions

How does online psychological counseling work?

Sessions happen via a secure video link in a quiet space you choose. We start with what matters today, then work through it with clear conversation and—if helpful—1–3 minutes of gentle breath or body awareness to settle the nervous system. Everything is consent-based and at your pace. You’ll usually leave with one small next step to try between sessions.

Is online psychological counseling effective?

Yes—research shows video-based counseling can be as effective as in-person for many concerns (e.g., stress, anxiety, mild–moderate mood issues). Outcomes depend most on our connection, a good fit, and steady follow-through. A bonus of online work: you learn and practice tools in the exact environment where you’ll use them. If a different level of care is needed (e.g., psychotherapy or crisis support), we’ll discuss referrals promptly.

What’s the difference between psychological counseling and psychotherapy?

Counseling with me focuses on support, skills, and perspective for current challenges. It’s not a substitute for licensed psychotherapy or medical treatment. If we discover you’d benefit from formal therapy, I’ll help you consider options and refer where appropriate.

Do you diagnose, write reports, or prescribe medication?

No. I don’t provide diagnoses, official reports/letters, or medication. If you need these, I’ll point you toward the right licensed services (e.g., psychotherapy, psychiatry, General Practicioner).

Who do you work with? In which languages?

I currently work with adults and offer sessions in English and German, online across time zones.

How long is a session? How often do we meet?

Sessions are typically 60 minutes. Frequency depends on your needs—often weekly or bi-weekly at the start, then adjusted as things stabilize.

How long does it take to see progress?

Every person brings their own story — and their own pace. Some feel a sense of relief or notice small shifts after just a few sessions, while others may need a bit more time. Together, we’ll find a rhythm that feels right for you.

Do we use breathwork or body practices in sessions?

Sometimes. We mainly talk, and—with your consent—may add 1–3 minutes of gentle breath or body awareness to help the nervous system settle while we work. Always optional, trauma-sensitive, and adapted to you.

What happens between sessions?

You’ll usually have one or two tiny “Everyday Essentials”—simple, repeatable steps placed where they fit (before a call, between meetings, evening wind-down). We review what helped next time and adjust.

What topics is online psychological counseling suitable for?

Common areas include stress, anxiety & overwhelm; burnout & work stress; self-worth, perfectionism & boundaries; relationships & breakups; life transitions & change; sleep & the nervous system. See the Topics section for details.

What technical setup do I need for online counseling?

You’ll need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection, a working camera, and a microphone. No special software is required — sessions take place via a secure link, which I’ll send to you in advance. Ideally, choose a quiet and private space where you feel safe and undisturbed.

Can I receive counseling via email if I prefer writing over speaking?

Yes. If you think best in writing or need time to find your words, I offer email counseling.

How it works:

  • You send a detailed email about your situation or question.

  • I read carefully and reply with a thoughtful, structured response—including reflections, practical steps, and gentle experiments to try.

  • You’ll receive my response within 48 hours.

  • If you’d like to go deeper, we can continue by email or move to a video/phone session.

Important: Email counseling isn’t suitable for crisis or emergency situations, and it doesn’t include diagnoses or medical advice. Privacy is a priority; your messages are handled with care and confidentiality.

What happens with my data and personal information?

Your privacy is a top priority.

Our sessions take place via a secure, end-to-end encrypted connection. I am also bound by professional confidentiality, which means that everything shared remains strictly private. Your personal data will never be shared with third parties and is treated with the utmost care and discretion.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

Life happens — and plans sometimes shift. If you can’t make it to a scheduled session, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations made later or in case of no-show, I kindly ask for understanding that the full fee will be charged, as the time is held exclusively for you.

Can I contact you in acute crisis or emergency situations?

No, online counseling is not suitable for acute crises or emergency situations. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or needs urgent psychological help, please seek local emergency support right away.

For international help, you can contact the 24/7 support line at Befrienders Worldwide: www.befrienders.org

This network offers free and confidential support in many languages and countries. You are not alone — and there is help available.

Do you take insurance? How do payments work?

This is a private, self-pay service. Some clients obtain reimbursement depending on their plan and country; please check with your provider. Payment details are confirmed when scheduling.

How can I prepare for my first session?

Choose a quiet, private space, use headphones if possible, and have water and (optionally) a notebook. If you like, jot down a few lines on what you hope to focus on. That’s enough.
