Yoga that brings you

back to yourself

Movement, breath and awareness — on the mat and beyond.

Yoga is more than movement.

I trained in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga in Rishikesh, India, and have returned to India many times since to continue learning and deepen my own practice.

For me, yoga has never been only about asana. Pranayama, meditation and awareness are just as much part of the practice as movement. Depending on the setting and intention, I also incorporate Yoga Nidra as a practice of deep rest and awareness.

My classes are shaped by the people in front of me. Sometimes that means a slower, gentler practice; at other times, it can be more dynamic and physically challenging. What matters to me is not following the same sequence every time, but creating a practice that makes sense for the person, group and moment.

Whatever form the practice takes, it isn't about achieving a perfect pose. I'm interested in what we notice while we practise: how we meet challenge, where our boundaries are, when we need rest and what changes when we pay attention.

For me, this is also where yoga extends beyond the mat. The awareness, patience and curiosity we practise there can shape how we meet ourselves and everyday life.

Inside a Class

No two classes are exactly the same. I adapt each practice to the people in front of me, the setting and the intention of the session.

We usually begin by arriving in the body and with the breath before moving into the physical practice. Depending on the class, this might be slower and restorative or more dynamic and physically challenging, with a focus on areas such as the hips, shoulders or spine, or on strength, mobility and balance.

Pranayama, meditation and moments of stillness can be part of the practice, and some sessions may include Yoga Nidra. We usually finish with savasana, allowing time for the practice to settle.

You don't need to be flexible or experienced to join. I offer variations and guidance throughout the practice, so you can work with your body rather than trying to fit yourself into a particular version of a pose.

What practising together can feel like

"Isabel showed me how important it is to become and stay close to yourself. Making mind and body sinc with each other. I really enjoyed the yoga with her, a peaceful moment i'd like to continue back home."

Female (26), Netherlands

"I have to admit: I never understood yoga before. I thought it was boring and pointless. That completely changed thanks to Isabel. For almost four months now, I’ve been practicing yoga regularly – often daily, sometimes even twice a day, in the morning and evening. It helps me tremendously to unwind from my stressful job and find some peace. It’s also been a huge help with my sleep issues. And the pain I used to have in my upper back? Completely gone. I’m truly grateful to Isabel for introducing me to yoga – with so much patience, calmness, and motivation. To everyone I once rolled my eyes at when they talked about yoga: I’m sorry. I was wrong.

Thank you, Isabel – I’m so glad yoga is now part of my life."
